Peyush Bansal: Can you explain your specific medical condition and how it affects your vision?
Vineet Saraiwala: My condition is called Retinitis Pigmentosa. In this condition, vision deteriorates progressively with age. My current vision is only 10% in my right eye and zero in my left eye. I cannot see any of you sitting here, though I recognize Anupam Mittal’s voice.

Anupam Mittal: You cannot recognize us by sight at all?
Vineet Saraiwala: No, I cannot see any of you properly. I can identify through voices, but visually I cannot distinguish who is speaking from where.

Peyush Bansal: Your positivity is remarkable. How did you develop this mindset despite the challenges?
Vineet Saraiwala: My philosophy is that society typically views marginalized people in extremes. Either we are seen as specially abled with supernatural powers, or we are viewed as helpless and less capable. True change will come when we treat disabled individuals simply as humans – neither more nor less. We do not need to be inspiration porn, nor do we need pity. We need equal opportunities.

Anupam Mittal: Walk us through what Atypical Advantage actually does. What are your verticals?
Vineet Saraiwala: We operate three main verticals. First is performing artists, where we have over 500 performers including dancers, singers, musicians, magicians, comedians, motivational speakers, and voice-over artists that companies can book for corporate events and town halls. Second is Atypical Art, featuring 140 artists with disabilities and over 1100 live artworks on the platform. Third is inclusive hiring, where we offer both freelancing and full-time job opportunities, and corporates can view candidate profiles directly. We have placed over 60 people at Amazon alone.

Anupam Mittal: Why create a separate platform instead of fixing existing job portals? Is this exclusion rather than inclusion?
Vineet Saraiwala: This is a fundamental question. While technically a separate website might seem like exclusion, the reality is that the top three job portals in India are completely inaccessible to disabled people. If I cannot upload my CV on those platforms, how do I get a job? Secondly, companies do not provide end-to-end support like sign language interpreters for deaf candidates or accessibility accommodations, which we provide as part of our service.

Anupam Mittal: Do you provide post-placement sensitivity workshops and charge companies for these services?
Vineet Saraiwala: Companies that sign up with us pay a monthly retainer fee. This includes comprehensive services like disability sensitization workshops, post-placement support, job mapping, consulting, interview scheduling, and sign language support. We handle the entire process to ensure successful integration.

Anupam Mittal: What are your current revenue numbers?
Vineet Saraiwala: We are doing approximately ₹8 lakhs monthly. In fact, last month we did ₹10 lakhs, and the month before that ₹6.5 lakhs. We are projecting to reach ₹2.4 to ₹2.5 crore ARR by March end.

Aman Gupta: Are you building this as a sustainable business or primarily as a social cause?
Vineet Saraiwala: Impact is my top metric. While the business must sustain itself, my priority is social returns over financial returns. However, we have a clear monetization model through corporate retainers and placement fees.

Anupam Mittal: How did you arrive at a ₹30 crore valuation with current revenues around ₹1 crore annually?
Vineet Saraiwala: We have already raised a seed round of ₹1 crore at ₹7 crore valuation on World Disability Day from investors with a social lens. For a B2B2C consumer-facing platform, the typical valuation logic is 10-15x of ARR. With our projected ARR of ₹2.4-2.5 crore, we arrived at the ₹30 crore valuation.
